Starbucks + Mo Heart: A Latte to Be Grateful For

Starbucks wanted to connect meaningfully with the LGBTQIA+ community; Not with a corporate message, but with a moment that actually felt real, funny, and human. The brief: Show up with a campaign that had heart, not just hashtags.

project overview

The Spark
Mo Heart. With a voice as bold as a double shot, and more charisma than a triple espresso, Mo served up a “Grande Gratitude” - caffeinated affirmations reminding us that we all have a latte to be grateful for. It was uplifting, absurd, and full of truth. Like great drag and great work.

My Role
I wrote, directed, and creative directed the campaign, guiding tone, structure, and performance. Mo was electric, and getting that balance of inspiration and hilarity on set was pure joy. She did more than just deliver the lines… She poured herself into the cup.
