NESTLE DRUMSTICK + Comedy Central w/ Christian Delgrosso

We teamed up with comedic creator Christian Delgrosso to flip the script: Instead of voicing the character, he played himself, auditioning for the role of Dr. Umstick himself. It was meta, messy in the best way, and completely creator native. A cartoon meets casting chaos.

project overview

The Spark
Drumstick wanted to bring their animated mascot, Dr. Umstick, to life. But instead of doing it the obvious way, they wanted something funnier, smarter, and just the right amount of unhinged. The brief called for making a cartoon character feel like a cultural moment, not a marketing afterthought.

My Role
I wrote, directed, and creative directed the spot. I shaped tone, pacing, and performance. The goal was to make sure the comedy hit without losing the brand. And in this world, Drumstick wasn’t just the prop, it was the main character.

Two people sitting at a wooden table with a box of Drumstick ice cream cones between them. The woman on the left has shoulder-length dark hair and is wearing a black top and plaid shirt. The man on the right has short dark hair and is wearing a gray shirt with a black jacket. The table has a small potted succulent plant, a clipboard, and a red desk lamp.
